Days Inn by Wyndham Calgary North Balzac
Being just outside of the City of Calgary proper, the Days Inn in Balzac near Cross Iron Mills outlet mall is usually a bit cheaper than staying within Calgary city limits. Still not exactly middle of nowhere thanks to the large mall nearby and access to highway, it’s not a bad option when visiting Calgary. Being North of Calgary, it’s just short drive from Calgary International Airport (YYC). The area is fairly new and being part of an International chain helps keeps standards of cleanliness and state of repair quite nice.

Hampton Inn by Hilton Calgary Airport North
For those who wish to be REALLY close to the airport perhaps getting ready for an early morning flight, Hampton Inn is very reasonable. Being by the airport will be a bit noisier, but that comes with the territory of being near the airport. You can’t be that close to the airport and still expect quiet throughout the day. Great access to major highways Deerfoot Trail (Highway 2) and Stoney Trail (Highway 201) if you’re wanting to head out to Banff National Park or other attractions around Calgary Alberta.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Calgary Downtown
Hotels downtown anywhere in the world is going to be more expensive. Luckily, Calgary does have a few affordable options. About a block from 7th Avenue SW where the C-Train (LRT – light rail transit) runs, access to public transit is a plus here. This is a good way to get down to the Calgary Stampede grounds in July. Walkable distance from Eau Claire Park and Kensington, there are excellent food options nearby. I’ve always liked Holiday Inn. They are probably at the upperend of what I would consider reasonable. Hotel motel Holiday Day INN!!!
