Top 3 Fancy Hotels to Stay at in Calgary

Fairmont Palliser

Fairmont Palliser Hotel Calgary Alberta

Originally a Canadian Pacific Railway hotel, I think the Fairmont Palliser is Calgary’s oldest, most historic and fanciest hotel. Mount Royal University

I knew a number of people who went to Mount Royal and hung out there a lot. Mount Royal – MRU was granted University status somewhat recently, but University of Calgary in its current form didn’t exist until 1966, so we’re not talking about hundreds of years of history here. Mount Royal University has a much more limited number of degrees offered, but the learning environment to me is more of a classroom compared to a large lecture hall packed with hundreds of students. It’s also a great place to take upgrade or transfer courses. More selection for those who are interested in post secondary education can only be a good thing.
